LinkedIn - March 15, 2016 - It is fantastic to see how our digital attitudes are finally coming of age. Rather than running around like an overly excited child creating anything and everything without any real thought for long-term value, it feels like we have now grown up. We have begun to focus on creating high value to the user. Having technology resolve difficult problems and/or create new efficiency in how we operate is a good example of creating higher value. This can only be achieved when we put the tech to one side and heavily concentrate on identifying the problem itself. And we need to make sure it is the real problem and not the perceived problem.

The 86th Geneva International Motor Show: An exceptional vintage!
Geneva, Switzerland - March 13, 2016 - The doors closed on the Geneva International Motor Show 2016 Sunday evening with the traditional concert of car horns. The early results of a survey of visitors indicate that over 80% were very pleased with their visits to the Show. The results were equally positive with the survey of the exhibitors. With a total of 687,000 entries recorded, the public has demonstrated its ongoing fascination with an industry in constant evolution. The 86th Geneva International Motor Show was also exceptional for the large number of new models and variety of technical innovations. All of the feedback from visitors and exhibitors was very positive. The 87th edition of the Geneva International Motor Show will take place on March 9-19, 2017.

Prezydent RP Andrzej Duda w Narodowym Centrum Badań Jądrowych
Otwock-Świerk - 08 marca 2016 - W dniu dzisiejszym Prezydent Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej Andrzej Duda złożył wizytę w Narodowym Centrum Badań Jądrowych (NCBJ). Miejscem spotkania była MARIA - jedyny czynny reaktor jądrowy w Polsce. Naukowcy przedstawili m.in. efekty zakończonego procesu konwersji paliwa, do czego zobowiązała się Polska w 2004 roku przystępując do międzynarodowego programu GTRI (Global Threat Reduction Initiative). Od 2010 roku pracownicy NCBJ wykonali taką ilość napromieniania tarcz uranowych niezbędnych do uzyskania molibdenu-99, że zapewnili produkcję leków dla 75,5 miliona osób. NCBJ nie tylko bierze udział w produkcji molibdenu-99. MARIA wytwarza też całą gamę innych radioizotopów, które stanowią bazę preparatów eksportowanych pod marką POLATOM do 80 krajów na całym świecie.

2016 Geneva Motor Show: Aston Martin DB11
Geneva, Switzerland - March 05, 2016 - It's not every day that a new Aston Martin is unveiled. In fact, it's been 13 years since the range-topping DB9 made its debut in 2003. The sweeping, elegant Henrik Fisker design has held up well over time, but it was clearly time for a replacement. The DB11, (the DB10 is an exclusive model reserved for James Bond), therefore signals a new chapter in Aston Martin's history as well as the first look at the company's new design language built upon a new lighter, stronger, and more space efficient bonded aluminum structure. Chief designer Miles Nurnberger told us "progressive" the keyword in the design program, with designers looking at new ways to move the brand's defining characteristics forward into the future while preserving the quintessential Aston Martin design flavor. The process took just under four years.

2016 Geneva Motor Show: Lamborghini Centenario debuts in Geneva with 759 hp
Geneva, Switzerland - March 04, 2016 - Lamborghini has brought a new supercar to this week's 2016 Geneva Motor Show to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of company founder Ferrucio Lamborghini this year. The car will be built in a limited run, just like the previous Veneno and Sesto Elemento special editions, and it has been confirmed to deliver an impressive 759 horsepower. The car is called the Centenario, "centenary" in Spanish, and as expected it is based on Lamborghini's Aventador platform. Like the Aventador, the Centenario is available as either a coupe or roadster, though all build slots for the car are accounted for. Lamborghini will build 40 examples in total, split evenly between the coupe and roadster. The starting price is a staggering 1.75 million euros (approximately USD1.9 million).

2016 GIMS. Bugatti Chiron revealed: 1,480 hp and 0-62 mph in under 2.5 seconds
Geneva, Switzerland - March 04, 2016 - Behold Bugatti's new Chiron. The much-hyped successor to the Veyron and potentially the fastest car ever to enter production has been revealed today ahead of its world debut tomorrow at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Fans will be quick to note that this is slower than the current land speed record for a production car, a speed of 267.8 mph set by Bugatti's Veyron Super Sport back in 2010. Yes, the Chiron can go faster but Bugatti remains quiet on just how much faster. A top speed of 288 mph is rumored. What Bugatti will tell us is that the Chiron will accelerate from 0-62 mph under 2.5 seconds, which means it's quicker off the line than the Veyron Super Sport. Accelerating to 124 mph in the Chiron will take less than 6.5 seconds and hitting 186 mph will take less than 13.6 seconds, Bugatti claims.

2016 Geneva Motor Show: Italdesign GTZero concept car
Geneva, Switzerland - March 04, 2016 - The GTZero is the first concept car created under the direction of new design boss Filippo Perini, formerly head of design at Lamborghini. Though it's an undoubtable showcase for the company's technological capabilities, the similarities between Lambo's characteristic design elements are hard to miss. According to Italdesign, the 2+2 seat GTZero concept (which measures in at 4918mm long, 1974mm wide and 1274mm tall) draws inspiration from the company's past designs for various automakers.

2016 Geneva Motor Show: Pininfarina H2 Speed
Geneva, Switzerland - March 02, 2016 - The H2 Speed is Pininfarina's vision for a high performance track car created in collaboration with Switzerland-based GreenGT. But this is no ordinary track car. Named after the chemical formula for hydrogen gas, H2, the H2 Speed is powered by fuel cell technology developed by GreenGT, a Swiss company that has been designing, developing and producing zero-emissions propulsion systems since its inception in 2008. Over the last two years, the company has been testing and refining its hydrogen technology program with European partners. The H2 Speed is billed as the world's first high-performance hydrogen car aimed at customers who value performance as well as environmental efficiency.

2016 Geneva Motor Show: Opel GT concept
Geneva, Switzerland - March 02, 2016 - Opel reveal their vision of the future sports car at the 2016 Geneva auto show with a new show car that resurrects a nameplate given to GM Europe's first concept car, the 1964 GT Concept, which was produced by the nascent Vauxhall Design & Engineering Centre in Luton, England, which opened that same year. Just as the 1968 production version of the then blue-sky concept for GM looking to take on its European rivals, the new GT Concept is a pared down, front mid-engined, rear-wheel drive sports car that aims to appeal to driving enthusiasts.

Geneva International Motor Show 2016: Opel Astra from Gliwice, Poland, announced Car of the Year 2016
Geneva, Switzerland - February 29, 2016 - The Opel/Vauxhall Astra has been announced as Car of the Year 2016, on the eve of the Geneva International Motor Show. Hakan Matson president of the Jury, handed the trophy to Opel's CEO Karl-Thomas Neumann. The Astra was the jury's favourite by a narrow margin, gathering 309 points, versus the 294 points of the second placed car, the Volvo XC90. The other finalists were the Audi A4 (189 points), BMW 7 Series (143 points), Jaguar XE (163 points), Mazda MX-5 (202 points) and Skoda Superb (147 points). The jury is comprised of 58 leading motoring journalists from 22 European countries.

2016 GSMA Mobile World Congress Surpasses Record 100,000 Visitors
Barcelona, Spain - February 25, 2016 - Visitors to the 2016 edition of the Mobile World Congress surpassed the 100,000 mark for the first time in the event's history, with nearly 101,000 attendees, the GSMA reported today, an increase of more than six per cent over last year. Additionally, nearly 4,000 people participated in the ESL Expo Barcelona, which took place the weekend prior to Mobile World Congress. Visitors from 204 countries attended the mobile industry's premier event at the Fira Gran Via and Fira Montjuďc venues in Barcelona. The 2016 Mobile World Congress featured more than 2,200 exhibiting companies showcasing cutting-edge products and services across 110,000 net square meters of exhibition and hospitality space. More than 3,600 international media and industry analysts attended the event to report on the many significant industry announcements made at the Congress. Over 55 per cent of this year's Mobile World Congress attendees hold C-level positions, including more than 5,000 CEOs and 21 per cent of attendees for the 2016 show were women. Preliminary independent economic analysis indicates that the 2016 Mobile World Congress will have contributed more than EUR 460 million and over 13,000 part-time jobs.

GSMA Report Shows Registered Mobile Money Accounts Increased by 31 Per Cent to 411 Million in 2015
Barcelona, Spain - February 23, 2016 - The GSMA today released its fifth annual 'State of the Industry Report on Mobile Money'. Mobile money is changing the landscape of financial inclusion. With 271 services in 93 countries, mobile money is now available in 85 per cent of markets where less than 20 per cent of the population have an account at a formal financial institution. The report shows that the number of active mobile money users is growing rapidly year-on-year. As of December 2015, there were more than 134 million accounts active, with 30 services having more than one million active accounts and seven services with more than four million. Mobile network operators continue to play a leading role in delivering mobile money and expanding financial inclusion.

Global Operators, Google and the GSMA Align Behind Adoption of Rich Communications Services
Barcelona, Spain - February 22, 2016 - Global operators, including América Móvil, Bharti Airtel Ltd, Deutsche Telekom, Etisalat, Globe Telecom, KPN, Millicom, MTN, Orange, PLAY, Smart Communications, Sprint, Telenor Group, TeliaSonera, Telstra, TIM, Turkcell, VimpelCom, Vodafone, the GSMA, and Google today announced the launch of a mobile industry initiative to accelerate the availability of Rich Communications Services (RCS). The initiative will enable all operators worldwide to provide an open, consistent, and globally interoperable messaging service across Android devices. Operators have agreed to transition toward a common, universal profile based on the GSMA's RCS specifications and an Android RCS client provided by Google in collaboration with operators and OEMs.
