eFive Telecoms with Alcatel-Lucent will link West Africa to South America
Paris, France - September 2, 2010 - Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) today announced that it has been selected by eFive Telecoms, a South African telecommunications company, to build a new submarine cable network linking the west coast of Africa to South America. The system will be composed of two trunks - the first one connecting South Africa to Angola and Nigeria, and the second trunk linking Angola to Brazil.

Warsaw, Poland - September 3, 2010 - Asseco Poland SA concluded two agreements to purchase shares in Formula Systems seated in Or Yehuda, Israel. Ultimately, Asseco Poland will hold 6,823,602 shares in Formula Systems representing 50.19% of the share capital and 51.18% of votes at the General Meeting of Shareholders of Formula Systems. The total transaction cost will not exceed USD 145.3 million.

Tokyo, Japan - August 27, 2010 - JAXA: On August 26, the first quasi-zenith satellite "MICHIBIKI" was encapsulated in the fairing at the Spacecraft and Fairing Assembly Building (SFA) at the Tanegashima Space Center (TNSC.) The fairing covers the payload to protect it from air resistance, friction heat, and acoustic vibrations during launch. The fairing for this launch is 4S-type, which is 4 meters in diameter, and 12 meters in height.
