Eurocopter unveils the first EC145 Mercedes-Benz Style helicopter
Marignane, France - May 17, 2011 - Eurocopter's EC145 Mercedes-Benz Style helicopter - which features an easily transformable interior and is tailored for high-end corporate, executive and private operations - made its world debut at the 2011 European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva. The first rotary-wing aircraft is being displayed prior to delivery for a European customer.

GM Electric Motors Plant is First for Major U.S. Automaker
White Marsh, Md., USA - May 17, 2011 - The General Motors electric motor plant near Baltimore will be the first by a major U.S. automaker dedicated to making the critical components for vehicle electrification when the plant opens in 2013. The electric motor plant results from two investments totaling $269.5 million announced last year. Largest contract: Siemens is to build ICx for Deutsche Bahn
Berlin / Potsdam, Germany - May 09, 2011 - It is the largest contract that Siemens has ever won in its more than 160 years of corporate history. Siemens will build up to 300 new ICx long distance trains for Deutsche Bahn in Germany - a deal worth billions of euros. The ICx is the world's most modern and eco-friendly train. From 2016, it will be in revenue service in the DB network and form the backbone of DB main line transportation.
