Boeing Flies X-48C Blended Wing Body Research Aircraft
Chicago, USA - August 7, 2012 - A modified Boeing (NYSE: BA) Blended Wing Body research aircraft - designated the X-48C - flew for the first time today at NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center at Edwards Air Force Base in California. The X-48C is a scale model of a heavy-lift, subsonic vehicle that forgoes the conventional tube-and-wing airplane design in favor of a triangular aircraft that effectively merges the vehicle's wing and body. Boeing and NASA believe the BWB concept offers the potential over the long-term of significantly greater fuel efficiency and reduced noise.

Deutsche Bank: Update on strategy review
Frankfurt am Main, Germany - July 31, 2012 - Deutsche Bank (XETRA: DBKGn.DE / NYSE: DB) today provided an update on its strategy review which was initiated on June 1, 2012. As an immediate action to adjust the platform to the current environment, Deutsche Bank will reduce headcount predominantly outside of Germany by approximately 1,900 positions, including 1,500 positions in Corporate Banking & Securities and related infrastructure areas. Warsaw, Poland - July 27, 2012 - Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (PGNiG) has found gas shows in the Komorze -3K deep exploration well being drilled in Greater Poland. According to current expert opinions, the exploration work has a considerable chance of success. The well is being drilled in cooperation with US company FX Energy Poland sp. z o.o. With a 51% interest, PGNiG SA is the owner of the exploration licence and its operator, while FX Energy Poland sp. z o.o. holds a 49% interest.

IBM to Power New Generation Radio Telescope and Help Probe the Origins of the Universe

IBM computing cluster to help Australia's Murchison Widefield Array process massive amounts of data captured from epoch when galaxies first formed. Toyota Motor Worldwide Cumulative Vehicle Production Passes 200 Million Mark
Toyota City, Japan - July 24, 2012 - Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) announces that in June its worldwide cumulative vehicle production surpassed 200 million units. This milestone took 76 years and 11 months to reach, and began with production of the Model G1 truck in August 1935 at Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, Ltd. Automotive Department, which was spun off and later became TMC. As of the end of June, cumulative production in Japan totaled 145.21 million vehicles and overseas production totaled 55.12 million vehicles.
