Fujitsu and Microsoft Japan to Equip Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance's 30,000 Advisors
Tokyo, Japan - August 07, 2013 - Fujitsu Limited and Microsoft Japan Co., Ltd. are providing Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company with approximately 30,000 custom-designed Windows 8 tablets as new original sales terminals for its advisors (sales personnel). This is the largest deployment of Windows 8 tablets in Japan to date, and one of the largest in the world (As of August 7, 2013). Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance will start to conduct sales activities using the new tablets in approximately 1,200 locations nationwide from September 2013 onwards.

2014 Chevrolet Volt Now Offers Even Greater Value
Detroit, USA - August 06, 2013 - The Chevrolet Volt, already recognized for having the most satisfied owners will soon come with another people pleaser: a lower price. The 2014 model will start at $34,995, including an $810 destination fee (excluding tax, title, license and dealer fees). If consumers include federal tax credits ranging from $0-$7,500 (depending on individual tax liability), pricing could start at $27,495. Individual tax situations differ, so consult a tax professional prior to claiming any credits to confirm eligibility for vehicle tax benefits. The 2014 Volt will start to be available in dealer showrooms late this summer. GE Completes Acquisition of Avio Aviation Business for US$4.3 Billion
Fairfield, CT, USA - August 01, 2013 - GE announced today that it has completed the acquisition of the aviation business of Avio S.p.A., a leading, Italy-based provider of civil and military aviation components and systems. The purchase price was $4.3 billion U.S. (3.3 billion Euros). GE did not purchase Avio's space unit. Avio's aviation business has been renamed Avio Aero, a GE Aviation business. Avio Aero will retain headquarters in Turin, Italy. The acquisition furthers GE's participation and expertise in the areas of mechanical transmission systems, low-pressure turbines, combustion technology, and automation systems.

Toyota, Nissan, Honda and Mitsubishi Agree to Joint Development of Charging Infrastructure for PHVs, PHEVs and EVs in Japan
Tokyo, Japan - July 29, 2013 - Toyota Motor Corporation, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., Honda Motor Co., Ltd., and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation jointly announced their agreement to work together to promote the installation of chargers for electric-powered vehicles (PHVs, PHEVs, EVs) and build a charging network service that offers more convenience to drivers in Japan. The move is in recognition of the critical need to swiftly develop charging infrastructure facilities to promote the use of electric-powered vehicles. Assisted by subsidies provided by the Japanese government, the four automakers will bear part of the cost to install the charging facilities.

GE Aviation and CAIGA Signed Agreement for H80 Family Authorized Service Center in China
