2014 International CES Kicks off with Record Amount of Innovation

CE Industry Revenues to Reach Record High of $208 Billion in 2014, According to CEA Sales and Forecast Report
Arlington, Va., USA - January 07, 2014 - Revenues for the consumer electronics (CE) industry are projected to grow 2.4 percent in 2014, reaching a new record high of $208 billion, according to The U.S. Consumer Electronics Sales and Forecasts, the semi-annual industry report released today by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). Nie przypominam sobie, aby w naszym kraju kiedykolwiek nastąpiła podobna sytuacja. Dosłownie na każdym kroku w Japonii widać zaangażowanie w rozwijanie i wdrażanie nowych technologii. Myśląc o przyszłości Europy, warto więc przejechać się po dalekim świecie, bo to znacznie bardziej pouczające niż wysłuchiwanie głosów wielu wąsko myślących Europejczyków, budujących z zapałem przeszkody na drodze naszego szybkiego rozwoju." - apeluje prof. dr hab. inż. After two days of competition, DARPA selected eight teams to receive up to $1 million in funding to continue their work. The roots of the Korean success story are complex but many observers believe that the government's willingness to invest in people, even before many thought they could afford to, was one of the keys. Countries can invest in their people in many ways, such as providing quality health care. In Turkey, for example, health indicators a decade ago ranked behind most other European and middle-income countries.

Big Idea 2014 By Michael Andrew: A Global Glimpse Into the Future
Hong Kong, China - December 11, 2013 - One of the things I am often asked by clients and people from within KPMG is what the big trends affecting business over the coming twelve months will be.
