GE Healthcare today opened a key new technology facility, the GE Healthcare Life Sciences Demonstration Laboratory, at the prestigious Science for Life Laboratory (SciLifeLab) in Stockholm, Sweden. The opening of the GE Healthcare Life Sciences Demonstration Laboratory supports GE healthymagination, GE’s $6 billion global commitment to deliver better healthcare to more people at lower cost.

GE Healthcare, the healthcare division of General Electric Company (NYSE: GE), today opened a
key new technology facility, the GE Healthcare Life Sciences Demonstration Laboratory, at the prestigious Science for Life Laboratory (SciLifeLab) in Stockholm, Sweden.

The Demonstration Laboratory, which is
equipped with GE Healthcare’s latest world-class tools and technologies for life sciences research, plans
joint research collaborations with SciLifeLab scientists as they seek to understand some of the most pressing problems in human disease.

The SciLifeLab was established in 2010 as a national resource centre to foster large scale molecular biosciences and biomedical research in Sweden.

The centre, which receives the majority of its funding from the
Swedish government, has
major facilities in Stockholm and Uppsala.

SciLifeLab Stockholm is a joint
collaboration between three universities - The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Karolinska Institute (KI) and Stockholm University (SU).
SciLifeLab Uppsala is organised by Uppsala University (UU).
