The Stanford Graduate School of Business 2007.01.12

The Stanford Graduate School of Business represents a community of people who believe in the power of ideas, make an impact on the world around them, and lead the wave of innovation that new ideas generate. We invite you to become part of this vibrant culture by participating in one of our executive programs.

The Stanford Advantage

Each one of our highly interactive executive programs offers you an intensive, residential learning experience where you'll explore leading-edge management concepts, test ideas against peers and the world's leading business faculty, challenge assumptions, and ultimately leave with an in-depth understanding of the critical issues that can make the difference to the future of your organization.

Stanford Faculty

Faculty at the Stanford Graduate School of Business are renowned worldwide for their roles in developing cornerstone management theory, advancing management thinking, working with market-leading organizations, and authoring leading texts on management and strategy. Our faculty include three Nobel laureates, three members of the National Academy of Sciences, 11 members of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and two recipients of the John Bates Clark Medal in economics. Faculty members are actively engaged in our executive programs, interacting closely with participants to maximize the learning impact and the application of practical, relevant concepts back on the job.

Our Silicon Valley Location

Graduates of Stanford University and the Business School lead many of today's foremost companies. Our close proximity and deep ties to Silicon Valley, with its legendary technology companies and entrepreneurial start-ups, provide a unique source of innovative research and real-time expertise. With extensive ties to the global business community and particularly close connections to leading businesses in nearby Silicon Valley, we are able to bring these business leaders into our programs as lecturers and guest speakers.

Our Participants

Over 20,000 executives from around the world have participated in our executive programs and have returned to their organizations with powerful ideas to propel their companies into the next stage of growth. Last year, more than 1600 managers, representing over 1000 organizations, participated in our executive education programs. By attracting a high percentage of global participants, our programs offer stimulating discussion about business practice and valuable networks that endure long after the programs end.

Our Facilities

The Schwab Residential Center is set among beautifully landscaped courtyards with spectacular views of the Stanford hills - an inviting living environment that encourages interaction and camaraderie. Located a few minutes walk from classrooms in the Stanford Business School, the Center encourages executive program participants to fully experience the world-renowned Stanford campus and discover first-hand the outstanding reputation Stanford has achieved as a leader in management education.

„The strengths of the program are its breadth of coverage on topics relevant to senior executives and its excellent faculty. Combine these strengths with the beauty of the Stanford campus and the California weather, and you have a fabulous one-of-a-kind program. Simply rated -- four stars.”
