Johnson & Johnson Announces Definitive Agreement To Collaborate With Google To Advance Surgical Robotics
New Brunswick, N.J., USA - March 27, 2015 - Johnson & Johnson today announced that Ethicon, a medical device company in the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, has executed a definitive agreement to enter into a strategic collaboration with Google, Inc., working with the Life Sciences team on advancing surgical robotics to benefit surgeons, patients and health care systems. The companies will bring together capabilities, intellectual property and expertise to create an innovative robotic-assisted surgical platform capable of integrating advanced technologies with the goal of improving health care delivery in the operating room. The collaboration was facilitated by Johnson & Johnson Innovation in California.

"Banknote of the Year Award" dla polskiego polimerowego banknotu z Józefem Piłsudskim
Warszawa - 27 marca 2015 - Banknot o nominale 20 złotych z wizerunkiem marszałka Józefa Piłsudskiego, upamiętniający 100. rocznicę utworzenia Legionów Polskich, otrzymał prestiżowe wyróżnienie "Banknote of the Year Award". Wyróżnienie zostało przyznane podczas konferencji High Security Printing, która odbywała się w Budapeszcie w dniach 23-25 marca 2015. W banknocie zastosowano podłoże polimerowe. Uznanie uczestników konferencji wzbudziło pionierskie zastosowanie w banknocie obiegowym trzech nowoczesnych zabezpieczeń - Latitude, Aurora i Metalix. Pierwsza z tych technik została użyta w wizerunku Belwederu - to hologram na przedniej stronie banknotu. W drugiej technice wykonano listki oraz oznaczenie nominału znajdujące się na przedniej i tylnej stronie banknotu. Trzecie zabezpieczenie wykorzystano w motywie wstążki, zdobiącej obie strony banknotu.

Ruth Porat to Join Google as Chief Financial Officer
Mountain View, Calif., USA - March 24, 2015 - Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG) today announced that Ruth Porat, currently Chief Financial Officer at Morgan Stanley, will join its management team as CFO. Ruth joined Morgan Stanley in 1987 and has played several key roles at the company, including Vice Chairman of Investment Banking, Global Head of the Financial Institutions Group and co-Head of Technology Investment Banking. Throughout the financial crisis, Ruth led the Morgan Stanley teams advising the U.S. Treasury on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and the New York Federal Reserve Bank on AIG. IBM Invests in Modernizing Medicine to Accelerate Adoption of Watson Technologies in Healthcare
New York City and Boca Raton, Florida, USA - March 19, 2015 - To accelerate the adoption of Watson cognitive computing in healthcare, IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced an investment in Modernizing Medicine, a provider of cloud-based, specialty-specific electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other technologies that capture structured data, track outcomes and deliver clinical decision support. This is the latest direct investment that IBM has made through its $100 million fund to seed Watson innovations. The investment caps $20 million in Series D funding secured by Modernizing Medicine, raising its overall funding total to $49 million. Modernizing Medicine is the creator of the Electronic Medical Assistant (EMA), a specialty-specific EMR system, and provider of comprehensive specialty-specific billing, revenue and inventory management solutions. Over 5,000 healthcare providers in the U.S., including approximately 30 percent of dermatologists, use Modernizing Medicine's platform. According to the recent 2015 Black Book Market Research report, the company's EMA Dermatology solution ranked first overall in the dermatology space for the second consecutive year. IBM is investing $1 billion into the Watson unit, focusing on development and research, and bringing cloud-delivered cognitive applications and services to market.

TELDAT and Raytheon move to next phase of Patriot router development
Tewksbury, Mass., USA - March 9, 2015 - Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) and TELDAT successfully completed the Critical Design Review (CDR) phase of their current contract to co-develop and co-produce advanced militarized routers for the Patriot Air and Missile Defense system. This milestone validates the capability of the TELDAT design to meet all Patriot system requirements and enables the company to transition into the manufacturing and design qualification phase of the program. Polish industry will have major involvement in the co-development (design, engineering, software) of the Next Generation Patriot system, including co-production of a large portion of this future capability. To date, Raytheon has signed seven contract awards and 28 initial teaming agreements (LOIs), which are all focused on bringing work share to Polish industry from the WISLA program and beyond.

2015 Geneva Motor Show: Nissan Sway concept

2015 Geneva Motor Show: Infiniti QX30 concept
Geneva, Switzerland - March 8, 2015 - Coupe crossovers are a burgeoning segment, with every automaker striving to fill the niche with their own interpretation. Infiniti, Nissan's luxury arm, is also throwing its hat in the ring with the QX30 concept, a precursor of a new premium compact crossover anticipated to make its production debut next year.
