Apple Introduces 15-inch MacBook Pro with Force Touch Trackpad & New USD1,999 iMac with Retina 5K Display
Cupertino, California, USA - May 19, 2015 - Apple today updated the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display with the new Force Touch trackpad, faster flash storage, longer battery life and faster discrete graphics, delivering even more performance and capabilities to the MacBook Pro line. Apple also today introduced a new USD 1,999 configuration of the 27-inch iMac with Retina 5K display featuring a breathtaking 14.7 million pixel display, quad-core processors and AMD graphics, and lowered the price of the top-end iMac with Retina 5K display to USD 2,299.

Polska spółka Wielton po przejęciu włoskiej grupy Compagnia Italiana Rimorchi przejmuje francuskiego lidera Fruehauf Expansion
Wieluń, Polska - 22 maja 2015 - Polska spółka Wielton SA, największy w Polsce i jeden z wiodących europejskich producentów naczep i przyczep, przejmując niedawno włoską grupę producentów Compagnia Italiana Rimorchi (CIR), a co za tym idzie marki: Cardi, Viberty i Merker przygotowuje się w bliskiej przyszłości do wzmocnienia swojej obecności na rynkach Europy Zachodniej. W dniu 21 maja 2015 roku Wielton SA oraz spółka Fruehauf Expansion SAS z siedzibą w Auxerre we Francji, lider rynku francuskiego, podpisały strategiczną umowę o współpracy i dalszym rozwoju. W wyniku umowy Wielton SA przejął w I. etapie transakcji większościowy, tj. 65,31% pakiet akcji firmy Fruehauf od akcjonariusza finansowego MBO Capital 2 FCPR i kilku akcjonariuszy mniejszościowych. Wartość transakcji wyniosła 9,5 mln euro. Zakup otwiera grupie Wielton drogę do zdobycia pozycji trzeciego największego producenta naczep w Europie z potencjałem produkcyjnym na poziomie 11 tysięcy produktów rocznie i przychodami powyższej 250 mln EUR.

Verizon to Acquire AOL for USD 4.4 Billion
New York, USA - May 12, 2015 - Taking another significant step in building digital and video platforms to drive future growth, Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE, Nasdaq: VZ) today announced the signing of an agreement to purchase AOL Inc. (NYSE: AOL) for USD 50 per share - an estimated total value of approximately USD 4.4 billion. Verizon's acquisition further drives its LTE wireless video and OTT (over-the-top video) strategy. The agreement will also support and connect to Verizon's IoT (Internet of Things) platforms, creating a growth platform from wireless to IoT for consumers and businesses. AOL is a leader in the digital content and advertising platforms space, and the combination of Verizon and AOL creates a scaled, mobile-first platform offering directly targeted at what eMarketer estimates is a nearly USD 600 billion global advertising industry.

VII Europejski Kongres Gospodarczy: Europa ma duży potencjał do działania globalnego, rozruszamy inwestycje w Europie
Katowice - 23 kwietnia 2015 - VII Europejski Kongres Gospodarczy (ang. European Economic Congress - EEC 2015) odbył się w Katowicach w dniach 20-22 kwietnia 2015. Organizatorem EEC 2015 była Grupa PTWP. Obrady zainaugurowało wystąpienie Prezydenta RP Bronisława Komorowskiego. Jyrki Katainen, wiceprzewodniczący KE oraz unijny komisarz ds. miejsc pracy, wzrostu, inwestycji i konkurencyjności stwierdził podczas otwarcia EEC 2015, że Komisja Europejska skupia się na funduszach strukturalnych, które zharmonizują rynek i pomogą sektorowi prywatnemu inwestować. Katainen podkreślił, że celem Komisji Europejskiej jest wzrost inwestycji prywatnych, czemu ma służyć Plan Junckera. Składa się on z trzech głównych części: pogłębienie i harmonizacja unijnego rynku wewnętrznego, bezpieczeństwo energetyczne UE oraz unia energetyczna, reforma rynku kapitałowego.
