Wangjing SOHO awarded First Prize in the 2014 Emporis Skyscraper Awards by Zaha Hadid Architects
Hamburg, Germany - September 29, 2015 - From over 300 skyscrapers completed around the world in 2014, Wangjing SOHO has been voted 1st place in this year's top 10 ranking of the Emporis Skyscraper Award. The soft and fluid forms were designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, making Wangjing SOHO an architectural landmark of the metropolis Beijing. Voted by an international panel of experts from more than 300 skyscrapers, the three tower 200 meter tall development is the first skyscraper in China to ever win the award. The judges were impressed by its "excellent energy efficiency and its distinctive design, which gives the complex a harmonious and organic momentum." Now into its fifteenth year, The Emporis Skyscraper Award is among the most renowned architecture prizes for skyscrapers and its jury is formed of architecture experts from all over the world, judging the nominated buildings according to aesthetic and functional design criteria. Previous winners include The Shard in London (2013), Absolute World Towers in Mississauga (2012) and New York by Gehry at 8 Spruce Street in New York City (2011).

Microsoft, ASUS broaden patent licensing engagement
Redmond, Wash., USA and Taipei, Taiwan - October 01, 2015 - Microsoft Corp. and ASUSTeK Computer Inc. (ASUS) on Thursday announced the expansion of an earlier patent licensing agreement between the companies. The deal includes a broad cross-license covering, for example, ASUS Android-based phones and tablets and Microsoft software, devices and services. It paves the way for closer integration between the two companies, including pre-installation by ASUS of Microsoft Office productivity services on ASUS Android smartphones and tablets. The agreement also facilitates technology sharing toward the development of new, innovative product solutions.

Flight VA226 success: with Sky Muster and ARSAT-2 in orbit, Arianespace serves Australia and Argentina
Kourou, French Guiana - September 30, 2015 - Arianespace successfully launched two satellites this evening: Sky Muster for the Australian operator nbn (National Broadband Network) and ARSAT-2 for the Argentine operator ARSAT. Today's launch was the ninth of the year in nine months, a record for the Arianespace launcher family, and the fifth of the year and 68th successful launch in a row for the Ariane 5 heavy launcher. It lifted off at 5:30 p.m. local time from the Guiana Space Center (CSG) in Kourou, French Guiana. Sky Muster will help reduce the digital divide on this nation-continent, by guaranteeing high-speed Internet access to more than 200,000 Australians living in rural and isolated areas of the country. It will cover the entire country, including Norfolk, Christmas, Macquarie and Cocos islands. ARSAT-2 is the second satellite for the state-owned telecommunications company, ARSAT, and will enable Argentina to further develop and consolidate its own space telecom system. ARSAT-2 will cover the Americas, providing direct-to-home (DTH) TV transmissions, Internet access via VSAT antennas, data transmission and IP telephony services.

IAA expects around 920,000 visitors by Sunday - mega-topic of connected and digital mobility dominates. I would just like to summarize: The 66th IAA Cars is a resounding success. The number of exhibitors has risen. The number of exhibiting suppliers shows an especially large increase again at this public exhibition, climbing to 404. This strengthens an important unique selling point of the IAA, i.e. showcasing the entire value chain. The marked increase in the world premieres - by more than one third, to 219 - has certainly once again enhanced the attractiveness of the IAA. Statement by the German Automotive Industry (VDA)
Berlin, Germany - September 23, 2015 - The German automotive industry (VDA) is dismayed by the manipulation of exhaust tests discovered at one company in the US. What has happened there is incompatible with how the automotive industry perceives itself. A practice involving the wrongful use of a special piece of engine software is inacceptable. We regret most deeply what has happened and take the situation very seriously. The events must now be fully and consistently investigated, and the necessary measures taken to regain lost trust.
The German automotive industry supports the authorities as they work towards comprehensive clarification and examination.

Warszawa - 19 września 2015 - PIT, CIT i VAT po 16 procent - to jeden z głównych elementów programu Nowoczesnej, przedstawionego w sobotę 19 września 2015 na warszawskiej konwencji programowej tego ugrupowania przez Ryszarda Petru. Trzy zasady, wokół których zbudowany jest program Nowoczesnej, to: wolność, sprawiedliwość i przejrzystość - stwierdził lider ugrupowania. Porsche Mission E and 911 Carrera at the IAA 2015
Frankfurt, Germany - September 17, 2015 - German chancellor Angela Merkel took a look at the Porsche Mission E. This is what it might look like - the Porsche of tomorrow. Together with the new 911 Carrera, Porsche is presenting the Mission E concept car at the IAA in Frankfurt from 17 to 27 September. In presenting the Mission E at the IAA in Frankfurt, Porsche is introducing the first all-electrically powered four-seat sports car in the brand's history. The concept car combines the unmistakable emotional design of a Porsche with excellent performance and the forward-thinking practicality of the first 800-volt drive system. Key specification data of this fascinating sports car: four doors and four single seats, over 600 hp (440 kW) system power and over 500 km driving range. All-wheel drive and all-wheel steering, zero to 100 km/h acceleration in under 3.5 seconds and a charging time of around 15 minutes to reach an 80 per cent charge of electrical energy. Instruments are intuitively operated by eye-tracking and gesture control, some even via holograms - highly oriented toward the driver by automatically adjusting the displays to the driver's position.

Agencja FBI ostrzega przed zagrożeniami w Internecie Rzeczy

The Internet of Things - IoT) oraz poradnik dla użytkowników systemów IoT prezentujący podstawowe zasady bezpieczeństwa. Wiele osób jest obecnie zafascynowanych Internetem Rzeczy, zapominając najczęściej o tym, że jest to nowe środowisko sieciowe, w którym hakerzy już obecnie są niebezpiecznym zagrożeniem dla jego użytkowników. Jest to technologia, która nie doczekała się jeszcze rzetelnych narzędzi, które pozwalałyby skutecznie chronić IoT przed zakusami włamywaczy. W związku z tym agencja FBI opublikowała 10 sierpnia 2015 roku Alert Numer I-091015-PSA, w którym opisuje niebezpieczeństwa związane z faktem, że Internet rzeczy nie jest odpowiednio chroniony.
