Next Generation of Innovation Debuts as CES 2016 Kicks Off
Las Vegas, NV, USA - January 06, 2016 - CES 2016 opened its doors today spanning the largest exhibit floor in the show's 49-year history, with 2.4 million net square feet of exhibit space and featuring more than 3,600 companies, including a record 500 startups. Owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), formerly the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), CES 2016 runs through Saturday, January 9, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Intel kicked off Tuesday's keynotes with art and a concert followed by the company's CEO Brian Krzanich asking the audience to fist pump the lit bracelets that were on each chair. Intel had it all, including next-generation drones, robots and more. Dr. Herbert Diess, chairman, board of management, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, discussed the company's focus on creating a 'New Volkswagen' and redefining and re-engineering every aspect of VW.

Intel Completes Acquisition of Altera
Santa Clara, Calif., USA - December 28, 2015 - Intel Corporation today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Altera Corporation, a leading provider of field-programmable gate array (FPGA) technology. The acquisition complements Intel's leading-edge product portfolio and enables new classes of products in the high-growth data center and Internet of Things (IoT) market segments. Altera will operate as a new Intel business unit called the Programmable Solutions Group (PSG), led by Altera veteran Dan McNamara. Intel is committed to a smooth transition for Altera customers and will continue the support and future product development of Altera's many products, including FPGA, ARM-based SoC and power products. In addition to strengthening the existing FPGA business, PSG will work closely with Intel's Data Center Group and IoT Group to deliver the next generation of highly customized, integrated products and solutions.

Apple Names Jeff Williams Chief Operating Officer
Cupertino, California, USA - December 17, 2015 - Apple today announced that Jeff Williams has been named chief operating officer and Johny Srouji is joining Apple's executive team as senior vice president for Hardware Technologies. Phil Schiller, senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, will expand his role to include leadership of the revolutionary App Store across all Apple platforms. Apple also announced that Tor Myhren will join Apple in the first calendar quarter of 2016 as vice president of Marketing Communications, reporting to CEO Tim Cook.

Lockheed Martin Introduces Next-Generation Radar Technology
Syracuse, N.Y., USA - November 17, 2015 - After years of investment in state-of-the-art technology, Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) announced its next generation radar technology: the Digital Array Row Transceiver (DART). Boston Children's Hospital to Tap IBM Watson to Tackle Rare Pediatric Diseases
Boston, USA - November 10, 2015 - IBM (NYSE: IBM) and Boston Children's Hospital today announced that they intend to collaborate to apply IBM's Watson cognitive platform to help clinicians identify possible options for the diagnosis and treatment of rare pediatric diseases. The news was unveiled at the Global Pediatric Innovation Summit + Awards (#PedInno15). In an initial project focused on kidney disease, Watson will analyze the massive volumes of scientific literature and clinical databases on the Watson Health Cloud to match genetic mutations to diseases and help uncover insights that could help clinicians identify treatment options.
