Fujitsu and NIMS Develop World's Largest-Scale Magnetic-Reversal Simulator
Tokyo, Japan - January 12, 2016 - Fujitsu Limited today announced that, in joint research with the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) and Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd., it has developed the world's largest magnetic-reversal simulator, using a mesh covering more than 300 million micro-regions. Based on the large-scale magnetic-reversal simulation technology first developed in 2013, this new development offers a faster calculation algorithm and more efficient massive parallel processing. The simulations are run on the K computer. Fujitsu and NIMS will be making a joint presentation on these results at the 13th Joint MMM-Intermag Conference, running January 11-15, 2016, in San Diego, California.

CES 2016 Brings the Future of Technology Innovation to Market
Las Vegas, NV, USA - January 09, 2016 - Dynamic keynotes from the top executives at FitBit, NBCUniversal, Samsung and YouTube, along with tech policy sessions and top product awards rounded out Day Two and Three of CES 2016. The future of technology innovation stood center stage this week, with more than 3,600 companies launching products across more than 2.4 million net square feet of exhibits - the largest show floor in CES history. Robert Kyncl, chief business officer, YouTube, noted that the last time he spoke on the CES keynote stage four years ago, he predicted that 90 percent of all Internet traffic would be video traffic by the year 2020. Cisco data now predicts that video will reach 90 percent of global Internet traffic by 2019, a full year ahead of schedule. Fitbit CEO and Co-Founder James Park delivered the evening's keynote address as a discussion with CTA President and CEO Gary Shapiro.

CES 2016 Opens with Technology Changing the World
Las Vegas, NV, USA - January 07, 2016 - The latest game-changing innovations revolutionizing our world took center stage on opening day of CES 2016. More than 3,600 exhibitors unveiling new products on the largest show floor in CES history - spanning more than 2.4 million NSF - and keynotes from the leaders of Netflix, GM and IBM kicked off the world's largest innovation event. Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, Consumer Technology Association (CTA) , officially opened CES 2016 on the keynote stage following a musical performance by Lexie Hayden, winner of the CES Music Contest. Reed Hastings, co-founder and CEO of Netflix, followed with his opening keynote during which he and Ted Sarantos, chief content officer, Netflix, announced several new Netflix Original Series airing in 2016. Hastings finished his keynote by announcing that while he was speaking, Netflix became available in 130 new countries, including India, South Korea, Turkey and Poland. Mary Barra, chairman and CEO of General Motors, introduced the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV, a fully electric vehicle that can travel 200 miles on a single charge and is slated to go into production this year. Next Generation of Innovation Debuts as CES 2016 Kicks Off

Intel Completes Acquisition of Altera
Santa Clara, Calif., USA - December 28, 2015 - Intel Corporation today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Altera Corporation, a leading provider of field-programmable gate array (FPGA) technology. The acquisition complements Intel's leading-edge product portfolio and enables new classes of products in the high-growth data center and Internet of Things (IoT) market segments. Altera will operate as a new Intel business unit called the Programmable Solutions Group (PSG), led by Altera veteran Dan McNamara. Intel is committed to a smooth transition for Altera customers and will continue the support and future product development of Altera's many products, including FPGA, ARM-based SoC and power products. Apple Names Jeff Williams Chief Operating Officer
