Mitsubishi Motors Joins Renault-Nissan Alliance
Tokyo, Japan - October 20, 2016 - Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) announces that Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (Nissan) has become its largest shareholder after completing the purchase of 34% of MMC-issued stock for 237 billion JPY. As part of Nissan's strategic investment, MMC will become a full member of the 17-year strong global alliance between Nissan and Renault - paving the way for synergies to enhance profit margins and earnings per share. Nissan Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Carlos Ghosn has been nominated to become chairman of the Board. Ghosn will be joined by three other Nissan nominated directors, including Mitsuhiko Yamashita, Nissan's former executive vice president of research and development, who joined MMC earlier this year as head of development. The other nominees are Hitoshi Kawaguchi, Nissan chief sustainability officer and head of global external affairs, and Hiroshi Karube, Nissan global controller and global asset manager. Trevor Mann, currently Chief Performance Officer of Nissan, will become Chief Operating Officer of MMC.

The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 in Central Europe: First place in the 2016 ranking goes to the Polish business Codewise, the second-placed CodiLime also from Poland
Deloitte - October 20, 2016 - The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 in Central Europe is a programme that recognises and profiles fast growing technology companies in the region. The programme, which is now in its 17th year, ranks the 50 fastest growing public or private technology companies. First place in the 2016 ranking goes to the Polish tech marketing hub and software business Codewise, whose amazing three-year growth rate of 13,052% eclipses the still highly impressive 4,555% it recorded in 2015 when winning the Rising Stars award. Unsurprisingly given this growth rate, Codewise also won the Big Five award this year. In any other year, the second-placed CodiLime software business, also from Poland, would have dominated proceedings with its exceptional three-year growth rate of 5,038%.

Tech Leaders Unite to Enable New Cloud Datacenter Server Designs for Big Data, Machine Learning, Analytics, and other Emerging Workloads, called OpenCAPI

LinkedIn - September 25, 2016 - There are two big news coming out of Snapchat this morning. The first one is that the company behind Snapchat is changing its name from Snapchat Inc. to just Snap Inc. The reason behind this is that when the company was launched, Snapchat was its only product but now that they are branching out it makes sense to change the name to something else. Speaking of branching out, Snap Inc. announced its second product today, and that's Spectacles. Spectacles are a pair of sunglasses that have a built-in video camera in them with a 115 degree view. There is also an LED indicator that informs others you are recording. They record 10 second videos, which are then sent over to your smartphone over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, and saved in the Snapchat app.
