Dla przejścia od kultury przetrwania do kultury rozwoju najważniejsze jest wewnętrzne przekonanie, że nie musimy wymyślać ról mesjanistycznych czy znowu budować odgórnie wymuszanej wspólnotowości. Powinniśmy raczej znaleźć nowe równowagi między otwarciem a zamknięciem - stwierdził w swoim przemówieniu Inicjator Kongresu Obywatelskiego. Brak równowagi w sferze wartości, gospodarki, polityki i relacji społecznych doprowadził w Polsce i na całym świecie do potężnego kryzysu, który kumulował się przez całe ćwierćwiecze. Powrót do równowagi wymaga dojrzałości. Dlatego tegoroczny Kongres odbywał się pod hasłem "Dojrzali Polacy - Lepsza Polska!"

GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy and Southern Nuclear to Collaborate on Advanced Reactor Development and Licensing
Wilmington, NC, USA - November 01, 2016 - GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH) and Southern Nuclear have agreed to collaborate in studying the development and licensing of advanced reactors including GEH's PRISM sodium-cooled fast reactor design. In a Memorandum of Understanding signed by GEH and Southern Nuclear Development, a subsidiary of Southern Nuclear Operating Company, the companies have also agreed to work together toward participating in future U.S. Department of Energy advanced reactor licensing projects. PRISM is a sodium-cooled, high energy neutron (fast) reactor design which uses a series of proven, safe and mature technologies developed both in the U.S. and abroad.

Audi with new motorsport strategy: Formula E instead of WEC

The premium brand will terminate its FIA WEC commitment, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, at the end of the 2016 season. Instead Audi is taking up a factory-backed commitment in the all-electric Formula E racing series. The first all-electric racing series perfectly matches the strategy of offering fully battery-electric models year by year starting in 2018, Audi currently being in the greatest transformation stage in the company's history. The commitment in FIA Formula E will already commence in 2017. It is regarded as the racing series with the greatest potential for the future.

Qualcomm to Acquire NXP for USD 47 Billion

HNA Group Makes Strategic Investment USD 6.5 Billion in Hilton Worldwide Holdings, reducing Blackstone's interest in Hilton
Haikou City, Hainan Province, China - October 24, 2016 - Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. (NYSE: HLT), HNA Group and Blackstone (NYSE: BX) announced today that HNA will acquire an approximate 25 percent equity interest in Hilton from affiliates of Blackstone, establishing a long-term strategic investment in Hilton and Hilton's planned spin-offs of Park Hotels & Resorts and Hilton Grand Vacations. The transaction is valued at approximately USD6.5 billion, or USD26.25 per share in cash, reducing Blackstone's interest in Hilton to approximately 21 percent. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2017. Following Hilton's previously announced spin-offs of Park and HGV, which are expected to occur on or about the end of the year, HNA will own approximately 25 percent of all three companies. As part of the transaction, HNA has entered into a stockholders agreement with Hilton, and into similar agreements with Park Hotels & Resorts and Hilton Grand Vacations, effective upon closing.

AT&T to Acquire Time Warner - a total equity value of USD 85.4 billion and a total transaction value of USD 108.7 billion
Dallas and New York City, USA - October 22, 2016 - AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) and Time Warner Inc. (NYSE:TWX) today announced they have entered into a definitive agreement under which AT&T will acquire Time Warner in a stock-and-cash transaction valued at $107.50 per share. The agreement has been approved unanimously by the boards of directors of both companies. The deal combines Time Warner's vast library of content and ability to create new premium content that connects with audiences around the world, with AT&T's extensive customer relationships, world's largest pay TV subscriber base and leading scale in TV, mobile and broadband distribution. Time Warner is a global leader in media and entertainment with a great portfolio of content creation and aggregation, plus iconic brands across video programming and TV/film production. The merger is subject to approval by Time Warner Inc. shareholders and review by the U.S. Department of Justice.
