Lockheed Martin: U.S. Air Force Authorizes Extended Service Life for F-16
Fort Worth, Texas, USA - April 12, 2017 - The U.S. Air Force authorized extending the service life of the Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) F-16's designed service life to 12,000 Equivalent Flight Hours - far beyond the aircraft's original design service life of 8,000 hours. Following F-16 Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) structural modifications, the U.S. Air Force could safely operate Block 40-52 aircraft to 2048 and beyond. The Air Force and Lockheed Martin also reduced projected service life costs for the Block 40-52 fleet, paving the way for safe, cost-effective F-16 flight operations decades into the future.

U.S. Air Force, Lockheed Martin Demonstrate Manned/Unmanned Teaming with an experimental F-16 aircraft
Palmdale, Calif., USA - April 10, 2017 - Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) Skunk Works, the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School and Calspan Corporation successfully demonstrated manned/unmanned teaming to improve combat efficiency and effectiveness for the warfighter. During the flight demonstration, an experimental F-16 aircraft acted as a surrogate Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV) autonomously reacting to a dynamic threat environment during an air-to-ground strike mission. The experimental F-16 autonomously flew in formation with a lead aircraft and conducted a ground-attack mission, then automatically rejoined the lead aircraft after the mission was completed. These capabilities were linked with Lockheed Martin automatic collision avoidance systems to ensure safe, coordinated teaming between the F-16 and surrogate UCAV.

European Space Agency: Exoplanet mission gets ticket to ride
ESA, France - April 6, 2017 - A Soyuz rocket operated by Arianespace from Europe's spaceport in Kourou will boost ESA's upcoming exoplanet satellite into space. Cheops will share the ride into space with another payload, with the two separating in turn into their own orbits soon after ascent. Arianespace has confirmed it will provide the launch services, with the contract to be signed by ESA in the coming weeks. While the exact launch date remains to be confirmed, Cheops is expected to be ready by the end of 2018 for shipping to Kourou, with all testing completed.

Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner Completes First Flight
North Charleston, S.C., USA - March 31, 2017 - The Boeing (NYSE: BA) 787-10 Dreamliner took to the skies for the first time today at Boeing South Carolina. The airplane, which is the newest and longest model of the 787 family, completed a successful flight totaling four hours and 58 minutes. SpaceX conducts historic Falcon 9 re-flight with SES-10 Mission. Lands booster again
Kennedy Space Center, Florida, USA - March 30, 2017 - SpaceX took a step into the future Thursday as it reused - for the first time - a recovered first stage of a previously-flown Falcon 9 rocket. Thursday's mission, carrying the SES-10 communications satellite, lifted off from Pad 39A at Florida's Kennedy Space Center at 18:27 local time (22:27 UTC) and once again landed the booster.
