Boeing Demonstrates Airborne Networking System
Arlington, Va., USA - May 8, 2017 - Boeing (NYSE: BA) and the U.S. Air Force recently demonstrated that multiple aircraft and ground stations can efficiently and securely communicate using the Boeing-developed Talon HATE airborne networking system. During flight testing at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., Talon HATE pods on two F-15C aircraft enabled test pilots to share information through the military's Link 16, Common Data Link and Wideband Global SATCOM satellites. The tests also validated intra-flight datalink network capabilities used by F-22 aircraft. Pilots using the system can transmit information quickly between the F-15C and other Air Force aircraft and weapon systems, enabling efficient information sharing in real time.

Prof. Andrzej K. Koźmiński: Czwarta fala globalizacji
- pisze prof. dr hab.

- pisze prof. dr hab. Grzegorz Witold Kołodko.

Shelly Palmer: Can Self-Driving Cars Ever Really Be Safe?
LinkedIn - April 16, 2017 - Analysts estimate that by 2030, self-driving cars and trucks (autonomous vehicles) could account for as much as 60 percent of US auto sales. That's great! But autonomous vehicles are basically computers on wheels, and computers crash all the time. Besides that, computers get hacked every day. So you gotta ask, "Can self-driving cars ever really be safe?" No. Self-driving cars can never really be safe. They will be safer! So much safer that it's worth a few minutes to understand why.

U.S. Air Force, Lockheed Martin Demonstrate Manned/Unmanned Teaming with an experimental F-16 aircraft
Palmdale, Calif., USA - April 10, 2017 - Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) Skunk Works, the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School and Calspan Corporation successfully demonstrated manned/unmanned teaming to improve combat efficiency and effectiveness for the warfighter. During the flight demonstration, an experimental F-16 aircraft acted as a surrogate Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV) autonomously reacting to a dynamic threat environment during an air-to-ground strike mission. The experimental F-16 autonomously flew in formation with a lead aircraft and conducted a ground-attack mission, then automatically rejoined the lead aircraft after the mission was completed. These capabilities were linked with Lockheed Martin automatic collision avoidance systems to ensure safe, coordinated teaming between the F-16 and surrogate UCAV.
