Saskatchewan and Hitachi Sign R&D Agreement on Nuclear Medicine Technology

IBM Unveils Cognitive Computing Chips
Armonk, N.Y., USA - August 18, 2011 - Today, IBM (NYSE: IBM) researchers unveiled a new generation of experimental computer chips designed to emulate the brain's abilities for perception, action and cognition. CIT Aerospace signs firm order for 50 Airbus A320neo aircraft
Toulouse, France - August 10, 2011 - CIT Aerospace, a unit of CIT Group Inc. (NYSE: CIT), a global leader in transportation finance has signed a purchase agreement with Airbus for the 50 A320neo family aircraft, which it had committed to at the 49th Le Bourget airshow on 21st June 2011. This deal brings the total number of Airbus aircraft ordered by CIT since 1999 to 237 comprising 191 A320 Family aircraft (including the 50 A320neo aircraft), 41 A330s, five A350 XWBs of which 144 have been delivered so far.

Airbus A380 goes transpacific with Korean Air from Seoul to New York
Toulouse, France and Seoul, Korea - August 10, 2011 - The A380 has begun flying transpacific between Asia and the US East Coast, following the inauguration of service with Korean Air from Seoul to New York. The first flight departed Seoul 9 August for the outbound service to the Big Apple, returning to Seoul today, 10 August. The non-stop services have flight times of around 13.55 hours outbound from Seoul and 14.20 hours on the return sector from New York.

Cathay Pacific Announce Order for 12 Boeing 777 airplanes at $3.3 billion
Hong Kong, China - August 10, 2011 - Boeing (NYSE: BA) and Cathay Pacific Airways today announced the Hong Kong-based carrier has ordered eight Boeing 777 Freighters and four 777-300ER (extended range) airplanes. The order is valued at $3.3 billion at list prices. With this announcement, Cathay Pacific becomes the 15th customer to order the 777 Freighter and increases its Boeing 777-300ER fleet to 50.
