GM Vice Chairman Steve Girsky to Serve as Interim Head of GM European Operations
Russelsheim, Germany - July 12, 2012 - General Motors Europe President and Opel/Vauxhall CEO Karl-Friedrich Stracke today stepped down from his position to take on special assignments reporting to GM Chairman and CEO Dan Akerson. GM Vice Chairman Steve Girsky, currently Chairman of the Opel Supervisory Board, will serve as acting head of GM's European operations as the company searches for a replacement.

Volkswagen and Porsche create integrated automotive group
Wolfsburg, Germany - July 4, 2012 - Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft and Porsche Automobil Holding SE (Porsche SE) are to create the integrated automotive group through the contribution in full of Porsche's automotive business to the Volkswagen Group, with the move expected to already take effect as of August 1, 2012. Porsche SE will receive around EUR 4.46 billion and one Volkswagen ordinary share as consideration for contributing the 50.1 percent of Porsche AG not yet owned by Volkswagen.

CERN experiments observe particle consistent with long-sought Higgs boson
Geneva, Switzerland - July 4, 2012 - At a seminar held at CERN today as a curtain raiser to the year's major particle physics conference, ICHEP2012 in Melbourne, the ATLAS and CMS experiments presented their latest preliminary results in the search for the long sought Higgs particle. Both experiments observe a new particle in the mass region around 125-126 GeV.

BMW Group and Toyota Motor Corporation agree to further strengthen collaboration
Tokyo, Japan and Munich, Germany - June 29, 2012 - Akio Toyoda, President of Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), met today with Norbert Reithofer, Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW AG, at BMW Group headquarters in Munich to announce the planned expansion of their existing cooperation initiated in December last year. The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at long-term strategic collaboration in four fields: joint development of a fuel cell system, joint development of architecture and components for a future sports vehicle, collaboration on powertrain electrification and joint research and development on lightweight technologies.

A jednak liczby nie kłamią - jak dotąd w czasie wielkiego kryzysu ani nie mieliśmy nigdy recesji, ani nie wypadliśmy z czołówki najszybciej rozwijających się krajów Unii. Nie wzrosło u nas silnie bezrobocie, nie załamał się złoty, żadnemu bankowi nie zagroziło bankructwo, żaden nie zwrócił się do rządu o wsparcie finansowe. Warszawa - 26 czerwca 2012 - Zgodnie z memoriałową zasadą rozliczania podatkowego (czyli po wystawieniu faktury niezależnie od otrzymania zapłaty), której Ministerstwo Finansów broni jak PZPR broniła socjalizmu, podwykonawcy muszą odprowadzić podatki, choć nie odnotowali realnego przychodu. Podatków nie zapłacili za to wybrani przez urzędników wykonawcy, bo zaksięgowali faktury od swoich podwykonawców - mają zatem koszty podatkowe i VAT "naliczony", więc pomniejszają VAT "należny". Zamiast eliminować przyczyny choroby - zmienić prawo zamówień publicznych i podatkowe - parlamentarzyści leczą jej objawy, pisze dr hab. Robert Gwiazdowski, prezydent Centrum im. Adama Smitha.

2nd Boeing-built X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle Successfully Completes 1st Flight
