Warszawa - 27 sierpnia 2013 - Najsilniejszym hamulcem wydają się interesy olbrzymiej i stale rosnącej biurokratycznej armii, która konsekwentnie zwiększa zakres szkodliwej i często grabieżczej ingerencji w życie gospodarcze. Rodzi ona przepisy i regulacje, które umożliwiają wszelkiego rodzaju pasożytnictwo i hamują prywatyzację. Wygląda na to, że w ramach administracji zawarto swoisty pakt o nieagresji, który sprawia, że w wyniku zmian politycznych nie wymienia się już wszystkich urzędników, tylko do istniejących stanowisk dodaje się nowe, poprzestając na roszadach na najwyższych szczeblach. Tak działa rak. Wątpię, czy uda się zmienić ten stan rzeczy inaczej niż poprzez działania radykalne, a może nawet rewolucyjne. Tylko one mogą zmniejszyć liczebność, ograniczyć uprawnienia, a przede wszystkim dyskrecjonalność działań biurokracji.

First Triple-E, the largest container ship ever built, in DCT Gdansk, Poland
Gdansk, Poland - August 22, 2013 - DCT Gdansk and Maersk Line are proud to announce the arrival of the first Triple-E class vessel - Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller - to DCT Gdansk container terminal on her maiden voyage from Asia to Europe. The arrival of the world's largest container ship in Gdansk is a memorable moment for the city and the region, as well as an unquestioned milestone for the entire Polish container business. Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller can carry 18,000 TEU (20-foot containers) and is the largest container ship ever built. Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer to retire within 12 months
Redmond, Wash., USA - August 23, 2013 - Microsoft Corp. today announced that Chief Executive Officer Steve Ballmer has decided to retire as CEO within the next 12 months, upon the completion of a process to choose his successor. In the meantime, Ballmer will continue as CEO and will lead Microsoft through the next steps of its transformation to a devices and services company that empowers people for the activities they value most. The Board of Directors has appointed a special committee to direct the process. This committee is chaired by John Thompson, the board's lead independent director, and includes Chairman of the Board Bill Gates, Chairman of the Audit Committee Chuck Noski and Chairman of the Compensation Committee Steve Luczo.

Warsaw Stock Exchange and Aquis Exchange become Business Partners
Warsaw, Poland / London, U.K. - August 19, 2013 - Warsaw Stock Exchange, the largest Exchange in Central Europe, and Aquis Exchange, the proposed pan-European equities trading exchange, announced today that they have entered into agreement to form an alliance. Under the terms of the agreement, WSE will acquire shares representing 30% of the total vote at the Aquis Exchange General Meeting and the same share of the company's dividends and will have a right to nominate two non-executive directors to the Aquis Exchange Board of Directors. The total transaction value is GBP 5m and will be covered by WSE's financial reserves. The agreement is in line with WSE's strategic interest in developing a financial hub for Central Europe in Warsaw. Any potential plans of Aquis Exchange concerning operations in the region will be settled with WSE.
