Previous to his appointment at Cassidian, Kannefass served as the Head of the Turbo Equipment business segment within the Oil and Gas Division of Siemens Energy.

Kannefass holds a degree in Aeronautics and Mechanical Engineering.
He started his career at the Siemens Transportation Group in the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and Strategic Marketing department.

Later on he moved to programme, sales and general management assignments within the energy sector of Siemens, including international positions in the U.S.
