The appointment is part of the company's ongoing effort to provide excellence in business and operational areas.

In this role, Mr. Zwetolitz will be responsible for project delivery, customer relationships and business development for all product lines in support of the company's Canadian customers (AECL, Bruce Power, Hydro-Quebec and Ontario Power Generation).

He also supports the industry as a member of the Nuclear Power Advisory Board for Penn State University, from which he graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
He holds an M.B.A. from Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Va. (USA).

Mr. Zwetolitz will be located at the company's Cranberry Township, Pa. (USA), headquarters and will report to Jim Ferland, president of the Westinghouse Americas Region

Jim Ferland
is president, Westinghouse Americas, where he leads the company’s efforts to build customer relationships, develop business plans, capture new markets, and deliver projects and products in North and South America.

Mr. Ferland served the past three years as senior vice president of Utility Operations for PNM Resources in Albuquerque, NM. At PNM Resources, Mr. Ferland was responsible for all regulated transmission and distribution operations for PNM and TNMP, utilities that serve electricity customers in New Mexico and Texas.

He also provided oversight of PNM’s existing generation facilities, future generation development, wholesale power sales, supply chain, safety and environmental initiatives.

He joined PNM from Westinghouse, where he served as vice president, Field Services.

Prior to that role, he was president and chief executive officer of Louisiana Energy Services.

His career also includes serving as director, Strategic Business Development at Westinghouse, and various operations and business development positions at Duke Engineering and Services and Carolina Power and Light.

Mr. Ferland holds a bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a master’s in business administration from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.

Aris Candris
became president and CEO of Westinghouse Electric Company on July 1, 2008.

Prior to this appointment, Dr. Candris served as senior vice president, Nuclear Fuel, providing fuel fabrication, components and services to commercial nuclear power plants worldwide.

Prior to this role, which he assumed in September 2006, Dr. Candris served as senior vice president in charge of the Nuclear Services business unit.

He first held this position in 2000 and resumed the role in 2004 after completing a special assignment as senior vice president, Operational Excellence, from June 2003 through August 2004, during which time he developed the formative stages of the Westinghouse Customer 1st initiative.

From 1996 to 1999, Dr. Candris was vice president and general manager of the Nuclear Services business unit; vice president of Nuclear Services operations; director of Nuclear Services projects; and director of Nuclear Technology.

Between 1980 and 1995, Dr. Candris managed Nuclear Technology and Nuclear Services organizations in the areas of operating plant marketing; strategic operations; nuclear safety analysis and strategic development; functional design; reliability technologies; and reliability engineering.

He began his Westinghouse career in 1975 as a senior engineer in the former Advanced Reactor Division.

Dr. Candris holds a B.A. from Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky, and an M.S. and a Ph.D. in nuclear engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

He is a member of the Boards of Trustees for Carnegie Mellon University, Transylvania University and the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. He serves on the Board of Directors for Pittsburgh's Allegheny Conference on Community Development and is a member of its Executive Committee.

Dr. Candris also serves on the Advisory Board of the Carnegie Institute of Technology and is a member of the Nuclear Energy Institute and the World Nuclear Association Boards of Directors.
