Optimized developer and publisher product offerings through mobile analytics functionality
Nokia today announced it has signed an agreement to
acquire Motally Inc., a privately-held US-based company.

Motally's Mobile Analytics. The service offering is planned to be adapted for Qt, Symbian, Meego and Java developers, and Nokia plans to continue serving Motally's existing customer base.

Motally's mobile analytics service offers in-application tracking and reporting, and is designed to enable developers and publishers to optimize the development of their mobile applications through increased understanding of how users engage.

Management Team
John Forese, CEO
John Forese joins the team at Motally with more than fifteen years of professional experience with a background in both the mobile and analytics industries.
Most recently John was SVP of Product Management at Nielsen Mobile.
Previously, John was an SVP at Telephia where he led overall product strategy and had P&L responsibility across the company's product lines.
During his tenure, John helped grow Telephia into the largest provider of syndicated research and performance metrics for the mobile industry, leading to the company's acquisition by Nielsen in 2007.
Prior to joining Telephia, John held various management positions at telecom and technology based start-ups, including Flashpoint Technologies, Netro Inc. and Pacific Bell Mobile Systems.
John also spent four years as a management consultant working with key clients in the consumer packaged goods and mobile industries.
John has a Masters of Business Administration from Stanford and an AB in Economics from Princeton University.
Arte Merritt, Founder, President
Arte has more than thirteen years professional experience and more than nine years mobile experience working with companies like Yahoo Mobile, Helio, Vindigo and a wide variety of mobile startups.
A serial entrepreneur, Arte founded/co-founded/invented MyEssay.com, the MIT Wireless Forum (MITWF), 3mg Inc, Zetre, m.towza.com, and a number of other websites, products, and services.
He is an MIT alum.
