Oracle today announced that it has entered into an
agreement to acquire Taleo Corporation (NASDAQ:TLEO),
a leading provider of cloud-based talent management for $46.00 per share or approximately $1.9 billion, net of Taleo’s cash and debt.

The Board of Directors of Taleo has unanimously approved the transaction.
The transaction is expected to close mid-year 2012, subject to Taleo stockholder approval, certain regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.

Prior to joining Taleo, Michael Gregoire served as executive vice president of Global Services for PeopleSoft, an enterprise software company in nearby Pleasanton.
Gregoire has also served as executive director of the EDS New York Information Solutions Organization, based in New York City.
The Information Solutions Organization business was a $500M+ in annual revenue unit focused on aligning technology and operations with business strategy.
Gregoire has a Master's degree from California Coast University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario, Canada.
